Tennessee Titans start work on new football stadium

Titans Break Ground on $2B Stadium

To be called Nissan Stadium, The Tennessee Titans have broken ground on the $2.1 billion facility.

The 1.8 million-square-foot stadium will have 60,000 seats, with better sightlines than the current stadium, a stage as large as Ryman Auditorium’s and will be the first NFL stadium with a 12,000-square-foot community space.

An alliance made up of several experienced contractors will build the project. It will include Nashville-based ICF Builders, Brentwood-based Polk & Associates, Turner Construction Company and AECOM Hunt. Collectively, the team has more than 55 years of NFL stadium construction experience and a long history of building iconic sports facilities. Turner and AECOM Hunt have successfully worked on 17 of the 30 most recently completed NFL stadium projects.

Over the next three years — the stadium is expected to be complete in 2027 — construction will generate over 19,000 full- and part-time jobs, have a direct spending impact of $1.9 billion and a total economic impact of $3 billion.
