Marquette Companies has named Trevor Ryan partner and president of Marquette Companies, while Jim Cunningham has been appointed partner and president of Marquette Management. Additionally, Jason Tennenbaum has joined the organization as chief financial officer.

Colliers announced that veteran investment sales broker Tom O’Brien has joined Colliers as a vice chair, partnering with Colliers’ Investment Services Group in Minneapolis-St. Paul. With his arrival, Colliers adds one of the market’s most well-known and experienced investment sales professionals to its business. 

Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its real estate capabilities with the addition of Daniel J. Elrod as a shareholder in its Chicago office. Elrod joins the firm from Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, and with more than a dozen years of legal experience, he represents debt funds, life insurance companies, and institutional lenders in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions nationwide.

Lee & Associates has negotiated a 30,300-square-foot new lease at 20 Presidential Drive in Roselle, Illinois. Jeff Janda, SIOR and Mike Plumb, principals at Lee & Associates’ Illinois office, represented Tripar International, Inc, who owns and occupies the rest of the 63,978-square-foot industrial building. David Haigh of NAI Hiffman represented the tenant, Rieder NA, a manufacturer of concrete facades.  

Chicago Title Land Trust Company has officially rebranded as The Land Trust Company. This change reflects the company’s expansion beyond Chicago, with a growing presence in Indiana and Florida and plans for nationwide growth.

Greenstone Partners, a commercial real estate brokerage firm, has expanded its brokerage team with Jacob Goldstein, as Director. Since becoming a licensed broker in 2016, Goldstein has been involved in $100+ million of multifamily and mixed-use transactions throughout the Chicagoland area, with property sizes ranging from six to 100 units. Prior to joining Greenstone Partners, Goldstein spent eight years at Essex Realty Group, where he advanced to the role of Director.

Intersect Illinois announced that Eileen Mitchell, President of Midwest States at AT&T, and Kristof Terryn, CEO of Zurich North America, have joined its board of directors. Mitchell leads external affairs across seven states and heads the company’s policy, philanthropy, and community initiatives. Terryn was named CEO of Zurich North America in 2021 after joining the company in 2004. He has held positions including COO for General Insurance, Group Head Operations, CEO of Global Life, and CEO of General Insurance.

Redwood Living, Inc. recently joined together with representatives from Perkins Township and the Greater Sandusky Partnership to celebrate the opening of Redwood Sandusky in Sandusky, Ohio.  Developed and managed by Independence-based Redwood, the neighborhood includes 136 single-story apartment homes ranging in size from 1,294 to 1,620 square feet.   

Marcus & Millichap completed the sale of a Golden Corral location in Schererville, Indiana, for $4.47 million. The firm’s Sean Sharko, Austin Weisenbeck and Daniel Chumbley, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a local Chicago real estate investment company, and procured the buyer, an out of state real estate partnership. Josh Caruana, Broker of Record in Indiana, assisted in closing the transaction.

Kiser Group has promoted three team members, Jackson Medina, Noah Shutan, and Hunter Wern, from Associates to Advisors. This advancement recognizes their exceptional contributions and reflects their growth within the company. Medina will continue to underwrite new deal opportunities for properties with 100+ units in Illinois, manage client relationships, conduct on-site property assessments, and create marketing materials for deals. Lee & Associates announced that Brandon Pappas has joined the firm as vice president of data analytics and business development. In this role, Pappas will oversee all of the firm’s research initiatives and spearhead data-driven market analysis. Prior to joining Lee & Associates, Brandon worked at CoStar Group, Data & Analytics. He also has experience as a licensed commercial real estate broker.

The Missner Group (TMG), a Chicago-based general contractor and real estate developer, has appointed Jeremy Weisbach as the new director of asset management. Weisbach will oversee and manage the success of TMG’s real estate assets, focusing on portfolio management, financial oversight, lease management, acquisitions, and dispositions while mitigating risk. Before joining TMG, he held key positions at Dalfen Industrial, EXPANSIVE, and Newcastle Limited.

Friedman Real Estate’s Marc Hames recently completed the sale of properties at 8891 Pulaski Road, a 2,500-square-foot asset, and 12584 Wooden Road, a 25,000-square-foot building, in Michigan. Friedman represented the owner in these two cannabis receivership transactions.

Clayco has achieved an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.40. EMR is a number used to measure how safe a company is compared to others in the same industry. “Safety is our first priority at Clayco. JLL has hired Kristen Vosmaer as a managing director for its growing Data Center Work Dynamics business. In this role, Vosmaer is responsible for data center growth initiatives, building strong relationships and guiding high-performing teams dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences.

Bradford Allen has added Angela Burnett, LEED AP, as director of operations, and Sean Kenny, as director of engineering, to the company’s management services business. They will work out of the firm’s downtown Chicago headquarters. Burnett will work with on-site property management teams on operational processes, efficiencies, delivery of high-level tenant experience and execution of capital projects. Kenny will work across the same portfolio, leading on-site property management, engineering and maintenance teams on building procedures and overseeing operations and maintenance of all plumbing, electrical, mechanical, structural and life safety equipment and systems.

Matterhorn Venture Partners (MVP) announced the addition of real estate private equity veteran Tina Ramos as Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer. As a co-founder alongside Scott McKibben and Matt Kay, Ramos will be responsible for building out MVP’s network of capital sources and for creating and implementing business lines. During her career, Tina has capitalized over $7 billion of real estate. Previously, she served as CIO of The Missner Group and as an SVP of Pacific Coast Capital Partners.

Hilco Redevelopment Partners, a subsidiary of Hilco Global, has changed its name to HRP Group (HRP). The change is part of a rebranding effort in anticipation of a spinoff from Hilco Global in the coming months. HRP is a vertically integrated, multi-strategy real estate investment firm specializing in complex redevelopment projects.

BWE, a Cleveland-based commercial and multifamily mortgage banking company, has secured two loans totaling $70,900,000 to refinance Accent Southrail, a 304-unit, mid-rise multifamily development in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Sedgefield Apartments, a 280-unit multifamily development in Marietta, Georgia.

TMG Real Estate Advisors (TMG) announced the promotion of Andris Lizenbergs, Rob Prioletti and Jimmy Yfantopulos. Since last year, they have collectively completed transactions totaling 1.3 million square feet valued at over $106 million.
– Lizenbergs, who recently celebrated five years with TMG, has been promoted to senior vice president. Specializing in industrial tenant representation both locally and nationally, Lizenbergs has worked with companies across industry sectors. 
– Prioletti has been promoted to vice president. Rob has completed several complex transactions since joining the TMG team three years ago.  As part of TMG’s Supply Chain Solutions team, he focuses on the greater O’Hare market while also fulfilling client needs nationally.
– Yfantopulos has been promoted to senior advisor. Since joining TMG  less than two years ago, he has quickly developed into a client advisor in the Fox Valley submarket.

Apprise, a Walker & Dunlop, Inc. company, announced its strategic expansion in the Midwest region, adding five industry experts to its team. Led by Alex Hoenig, MAI, who joins as a Regional Managing Director for the Midwest, the new team brings a wealth of experience and expertise to further strengthen Apprise’s presence in the region. The Apartment Source, a real estate firm specializing in multifamily real estate, announced that Tyson Schutz, owner and managing broker of the company, has been awarded the 2023 Chicago Association of REALTORS Platinum Rental Top Producer award. This marks the company’s fifth consecutive year winning the award, solidifying themselves as a leader in the Chicago real estate market. 

Spring Arbor Senior Living, an operator of assisted living and memory care communities, promoted Susan Durr to senior vice president, divisional operations for the Midwestern region. In her new role, she oversees 13 communities across five states, based in Spring Arbor’s newest corporate location in Springfield, Missouri.

Sitting in JLL’s Minneapolis office, Managing Director Josh Talberg continues to hold his leadership position on the multi-housing investment sales team. Talberg has played a pivotal role in shaping JLL’s Capital Markets Group in Minneapolis and is responsible for institutional investment sales advisory, recapitalizations and joint venture equity for multi-housing properties and portfolios. Crowell & Moring announced today that partner Elaine Taussig is joining the firm’s Corporate group, and partner Tom Williams is joining the firm’s Corporate and IP groups in Chicago from Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg. They will collaborate with their long-time colleagues John J. Koenigsknecht and David S. Stone, who recently joined Crowell in corporate leadership positions to continue the firm’s strategic growth.

Entre Commercial Realty recently completed the sale of a 2.76-acre site for future redevelopment in Arlington Heights. Entre represented the seller, Congregational United Church of Christ, in the transaction, and the proceeds will be distributed to various missions and local initiatives. Entre’s team of Sam Deihs, Dan Benassi, SIOR, and Dan Jones, SIOR represented the seller in this transaction.
