<p><strong>Venu Holding Corporation purchased a </strong>15-acre parcel of property in Chattanooga for planned expansion into Tennessee. VENU is planning to build an amphitheater at the Bend in Chattanooga, to be named Sunset Amphitheater Chattanooga. The planned development is expected to total $300 million in investment.</p>
<p>The venue will feature approximately 12,500 seats. Featuring a canopied roof that functions as both partially enclosed and open air, it will become Chattanooga’s first multi-seasonal facility, fundamentally expanding the city’s ability to attract major touring acts and large-scale events 365 days a year.</p>
<p>The planned venue will feature expansive traditional bowl seating, lawn seating, and a curated selection of premium spaces exclusive to the VENU portfolio, including elevated Owners Clubs and the signature Luxe FireSuites, all complemented by a wide variety of food and beverage offerings .</p>
<p>Hoar Construction will serve as the general contractor for the project. The culmination of the development’s partnership is contingent upon the successful completion of public-private partnership incentives currently under negotiation.</p>

<p>Aerospace materials provider <strong>ATI </strong>is considering a $300 million expansion in Monroe. ATI hopes to make a site selection decision in time for the new capacity to be online in the second half of 2027.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/news/2026/05/01/ati-considers-major-monroe-expansion-investment.html">The Charlotte Business Journal</a> reports Project Seven would see ATI invest $200 million to build and equip a new 172,000-square-foot production facility on its Monroe campus off Goldmine Road. That facility would create 70 precision manufacturing jobs. </p>
<p>Monroe City Council approved a $3.74 million economic development incentive grant for Project Seven at its April 28 meeting.</p>
<p>ATI is also investing $100 million in a new 100,000-square-foot facility through Project Nickel. That facility would create 60 precision manufacturing jobs. It would go on its existing Bakers campus off North Rock River Road in Monroe. </p>
<p>Council approved a $1.87 million economic development incentive grant for the project at the same meeting. It also approved an annexation request for that project. </p>

<p data-beyondwords-marker="1a4662eb-088e-49d7-b488-54a7edd4864c">Initial phases of the proposed Lotus Grove district are on pace to see vertical construction in summer 2025, with an expected total cost north of $300 million, according to Urbanize Atlanta. Atlanta-based <strong>Insignia</strong> is developing low-rise retail and restaurants and a 12-story multifamily tower in Doraville that will include 456 apartment units and amenity options. Resia is the helming the apartment project.</p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="de0f7b9d-cac0-4aad-8ff2-443645c74eae">The project is slated for 5597 Buford Highway just outside Interstate 285 Loop. The site was once populated by a Kmart, which has since been demolished.</p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="803ce681-172b-4141-ab04-172ab10709e7">Lotus Grove’s retail and residential components are expected to be up and going by sometime in 2027. </p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="75da3848-2703-476a-a112-ebdc0d204ce1">Lotus Grove will eventually see two 12-story residential towers (with 780 units total) as part of roughly 1 million square feet of new construction. Other facets would include a national hotel and a public park designed to be activated for events.</p>

That’s a 50% increase in its current bed count. The company says it will cost $304 million to expand its hospital at its Paulding County campus.</p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="2ebd33f7-6403-49e3-ba7d-5f1c33793ad3">Wellstar is one of the state’s largest healthcare systems. The Hiram facility opened at Hwy. 278 and Bill Carruth Parkway in April 2014, with 56 beds and 40 emergency exam rooms and an emergency department, cancer center, women’s imaging and surgical and other healthcare services. Soon after it was built, it operated regularly at 90% of the facility’s capacity.</p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="a867ab33-c6f7-46d3-83af-35f821ab9e01">The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the new tower will be connected to and integrated with the existing WellStar Paulding Hospital and adjacent buildings. The project will include renovations.</p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="bee1f855-93da-4f81-9e23-1c53638ace6d">Construction could begin next year, and the new tower could be usable by 2028.</p>
