Carroll Cos. Eyeing 760-Unit Greensboro Apartment, Townhome Community
The Carroll Cos. is moving forward on a $210 million construction project in Greensboro. The venture entails 480 apartments and 280 townhomes.
The property comprises more than 62 acres at 2000 and 2014 Fleming Road. The development will be near the intersection of Isaacson and Horse Pen Creek roads. Called The Madison, the company anticipates that phase one of the project will begin in the summer of 2025 and be completed in the summer of 2027. The plans include a proposed clubhouse near the apartment units, a maintenance building and an additional amenity area.
The Triad Business Journal reports the Carroll Cos. purchased the property from Zimmer Development Co. of Wilmington in the fall of 2022 for $5.6 million.
Carroll recently opened Car Caves, which features 27 for-purchase units for the storage of luxury cars. Car Caves is located at 1016 Battleground Ave., next to a Bee Safe Storage location, which Carroll also owns.
