Mixed-Use Project Planned Near Old Raleigh Train Depot
The site where the Downtown Raleigh train station once stood has been rezoned and is primed for redevelopment. North Carolina Railroad Company is moving forward on building a nearly 30,000-square-foot building where the depot parking lot was. The building will include retail, office, and amenity areas. The retail will be 6,188 square feet, while the office will be 22,892 square feet. There will be two outdoor urban plazas and a rooftop deck.
There will still be parking on the 0.76-acre site — 40 spaces in a surface lot.
The Triangle Business Journal reports the site across the tracks, 327 W. Davie St., will soon have two new buildings with a parking garage, residential units, retail and office space.
The Warehouse District has become a thriving area with La Terrazza recently opening on the ninth floor of The Dillon and Figulina taking over the Humble Pie space.
