Toro Development Company (“TDC”) has started work on Medley, the $560 million, 43-acre mixed-use community in Johns Creek. Th company expects its grand opening to take place October 29, 2026.

TDC secured financing for the project in November 2024. The deal includes an equity investment from Ascentris and a $158 million construction loan from Banco Inbursa for the first phase.

Located at the corner of McGinnis Ferry Road and Johns Creek Parkway, Medley will encompass 150,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, a 175-key boutique hotel, 110,000 square feet of office, 750 multifamily residences, 133 townhomes built by Empire Communities, and a 25,000-square-foot Plaza.

TDC has lined up more than 25 brands and razed a 350,000-square-foot office building to prepare the site for groundbreaking. Announced retailers for Medley include a neighborhood grocer, Sephora and High Country Outfitters.

Toro Development Company (TDC), secured financing for Medley, the $560 million, 43-acre mixed-use community coming to Johns Creek. The milestone paves the way for Medley’s groundbreaking in December, with an anticipated opening in late 2026.

The deal includes an equity investment from Ascentris and a $158 million construction loan from Banco Inbursa for the first phase. 

Located at the corner of McGinnis Ferry Road and Johns Creek Parkway, Medley will encompass 150,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, a 175-key boutique hotel, 110,000 square feet of lifestyle office, 750 multifamily residences, 133 townhomes and an activated 25,000-square-foot Plaza.

The company purchased the suburban office park for $44 million in March 2024 and has since razed a 350,000-square-foot office building to prepare the site for construction. TDC will renovate and incorporate the other existing office building into the master plan to create a commute-worthy workplace.  

Toro has already locked in over a dozen retail tenants signed up for Medley.

Toro Development Company (TDC) has a lot to do before it can get moving on an ambitious mixed-use project in the Johns Creek NE of Atlanta. Toro spent $44 million on 43 acres that currently feature a four-story building, a shell of a second office building and an expansive parking lot.

Demolition of one of the office buildings was completed last fall. The team will incorporate the other existing building into the master plan by stripping out the ground floor to make way for retail and restaurant space, while renovating the office space above. Toro hopes to break ground later this year.

To be called Medley, the venture will feature 200,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space designed around a vibrant public realm; 900 luxury residences, featuring a mix of townhomes and apartments; 110,000 square feet of office space; and a central greenspace that will host events and gatherings for the community.
