The portfolio comprises 25 buildings across five industrial campuses completed between 1982 and 1995. Three of them are located in Stone Mountain, Ga., while the other two are situated in Tucker, Ga.

The collection houses 119 tenants with a weighted-average lease term of nearly 2.2 years. Basis plans renovations throughout the portfolio.

Basis’ Anthony Scavo represented the buyer, while Middour Founder & Principal Owen Middour represented the seller.

Coterie Properties is leading a team aiming to transform The Station and Jefferson Plaza office properties along Holcomb Bridge Road in Norcross into a mixed-use development.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports plans include 320 wrap-style apartments, 30 townhomes and 16,100 square feet of restaurant and retail space.

The first phase of the redevelopment would focus on a pair of restaurant and retail buildings that would rise on the footprints of two existing buildings.

The rest of the buildings to the south of the creek would be torn down to make room for the apartments and townhomes.

A second phase of the project would likely include a new parking deck and approximately 150 age-restricted apartments for people ages 55 and older, replacing surface parking behind Jefferson Plaza.

With an estimated price tag exceeding $100 million, the first phase would be built concurrently and take about two years to complete.

Norcross City Council would have to rezone the properties in order for the project to move forward.

Landmark Properties has partnered with Manulife Investment Management to construct The Metropolitan on South U, a 259-unit student housing community at 1208 S. University Ave. in Ann Arbor, MI. This project represents the sixth project in a build-to-core joint venture executed with the Manulife Infrastructure Fund pool.

Construction will begin imminently. Landmark Construction, the in-house general contractor for Landmark Properties, will build the project with Myefski Architects serving as architect. Peninsula Investments also partnered on the project.

“We are excited to move forward with construction on The Metropolitan on South U and bring much-needed housing to the Ann Arbor market as enrollment growth at the University of Michigan remains steady,” said Jason Doornbos, Chief Development Officer of Landmark.

The Metropolitan on South U is near the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, the Michigan Diag and a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options. Fully furnished residences will feature quartz countertops, hardwood-style laminate floors, stainless steel appliances and in-unit laundry, and will come prewired for internet and cable access.

Levin Johnston of Marcus and Millichap, among the top multifamily brokerage teams in the U.S., recently acquired a second Bay Area office in San Carlos to accompany its existing owned office in Los Altos. In addition, the team increased the annual number of deals it closed in 2024 by more than 50%, facilitating 80 transactions this past year as compared to 50 in 2023.

“The purchase of our San Carlos office highlights our team’s deep integration in this geographical market and projections for activity ahead in the region,” said Adam Levin, executive managing director of Levin Johnston. “While the economic landscape has presented challenges for the industry, Levin Johnston has thrived over the last two years and sees a bright future on the horizon.”

He continued, “The new office will allow us to better serve our clients and continue to be a market leader in Northern California. This expansion also sets a foundation to continue to grow our footprint outside the region as well.”

The Charlotte Business Journal reports that the town has proposed incentives for the project, which are valued at $124,950.

The facility is expected to be developed on a 27-acre site at 4295 Defender Way NW in Concord. The site is less than two miles from Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Assuming the project moves forward, it would join two other recent advanced manufacturing investments from Hendrick Motorsports in Concord.

The first project, announced in January 2023, called for a $15 million investment. Hendrick was also plotting a speculative advanced manufacturing facility of 269,500 square feet. The city also incentivized the project, which appears to be similar to the most recent proposal.
