Greystar intends to develop a new multifamily community on 6.35 acres in the Atlanta metro area, near the intersection of Parsons Drive and Peachtree Boulevard. The company bought the land for the project for $11.5 million.

The Marlowe Chamblee project will bring 300 units in two mid-rise style buildings to Chamblee, a high-growth area just outside of Atlanta. Construction is expected to begin in April, with final completion slated for Summer 2027. Marlowe Chamblee will be the multifamily component of the 30.5-acre Chamblee Park mixed-use development. 

Chamblee Park, expected to stretch across nearly 31 acres, would rise about a mile north of a proposed film studio.

Greystar’s John Roberson added, “This prime location sits just north of Assembly Studios, anchored by NBC Universal. Assembly Studios will include a five-acre park, boutique hotel, and a convention center with restaurants and retail. We are looking forward to breaking ground in the coming months.” 

Optima, Inc., an integrated real estate firm, announced Reform Studios will open at Optima Signature, a 57-story luxury apartment tower comprising 490 apartments and 58,000 square feet of commercial space in Chicago’s Streeterville neighborhood.

The newly remodeled retail space at 228 E. Illinois Street features a custom Streeterville-inspired wall mural created by Chicago-based artist Eric Harold. Kripper Studio has been selected as one of the newest “House Doctors” for Fitchburg State University by the Designer Selection Board of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Executive Office for Administration and Finance.  

This role involves providing architectural services for general building renovations, repairs, and upgrades on an on-call basis for the university’s campus buildings. Over the six-year engagement, Kripper Studio will document existing conditions, recommend repairs, advise on costs, and propose energy-efficient alternatives.  

“The variety of needs, building types and the potential to upgrade existing inventory is very appealing,” said Architect Amir Kripper, the founding principal of Kripper Studio.  “Supporting Fitchburg State University’s desire to be sustainable in their re-use of buildings, and their desire to enhance the campus experience is very much aligned with our overall approach and specifically to our work for higher education institutions.” 

Pigmental Studio is no startup. The studio has produced “Kong,” “Despicable Me,” and “The Klaus”. The company is planning a 117-acre media campus in coastal Georgia, just north of the Florida state line.

Pigmental Studios says the project would include 18 sound stages and a mixed-use project. The complex would come to St. Marys, near Cumberland Island.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the development would include 1.75 million square feet of production space with both animation and live-action facilities. There would be short-term residential units and three food halls for crew members, along with a “community facing” mixed-use project with a hotel, commercial space, performance arts studio and an urgent care facility.

Last October, Pigmental Studios signed an agreement to purchase a 67-acre tract at the old St. Marys Airport, according to The Brunswick News.
