The second phase of Raleigh’s The Weld near Dix Park will consist of a 20-story tower with 525 apartment units. Amenities will feature a rooftop terrace, sky lounges and mezzanine units on the top floor.

Real estate firms SLI Capital and Mack Real Estate Group filed site plans that also include 20,885 square feet of first-floor retail space.

The tower will also partially wrap an 8-level parking deck with 702 parking spaces.

Phase one of The Weld is underway, with construction starting in summer 2023. 675 apartments and ground-floor retail in two 20-story towers are on track for occupancy in summer 2025.

The company brought on Perkins Eastman as the architect and McAdams as the civil engineer.
