<p data-beyondwords-marker="21644c1f-0495-4f7b-8ed7-e4a7253e4abe">It took just over a year for <strong>Glenstar Logistics</strong> to complete the first of five buildings at 290-acre the Cherokee Commerce Center 85 (CCC-85) in Gaffney, S.C. The company broke ground on the 550,520-square-foot building in October 2023. The site is adjacent to Interstate 85 in Upstate South Carolina’s Cherokee County industrial corridor. CrossHarbor Capital Partners supplied $38.2 million in construction financing for what is expected to be a $415 million project.</p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="1a03fe1f-7a94-439a-b34e-2c5133a87c79">Slated for completion in Q4 2024, CCC-85 Building 2 is being built on a speculative basis with the flexibility to expand to 1.3 million square feet. Potential uses include warehousing and distribution, food processing, assembly/light manufacturing and refrigeration/cold storage. CCC-85 will offer a power capacity of up to 54 megawatts. </p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="e5473850-b598-42e8-9279-76322af3d105">Glenstar Logistics’ partners at CCC-85 include capital partner Creek Lane Capital, general contractor The Conlan Company, and architect Ware Malcomb. John Montgomery, Garrett Scott, Brockton Hall and Dillon Swayngim of the Spartanburg office of Colliers are marketing the building on behalf of ownership.</p>

<p data-beyondwords-marker="e501528a-7bdd-4cee-849a-61e5371e4baa"><strong>Centennial Yards Company</strong> topped out the first residential tower in the sports and entertainment district at Centennial Yards. The company broke ground on the first two projects within the $5 billion 50-acre mixed-use development less than two years ago and marks this construction milestone with the naming of its first new residential tower, The Mitchell. The project is designed by architecture firms TVS Architecture + Design and Goode Van Slyke Architects (GVSA).</p>
<p data-beyondwords-marker="3f206658-697c-48ff-928f-21e1ecfea04b">Located in the heart of Centennial Yards across from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and adjacent to State Farm Arena, The Mitchell will feature 304 units ranging from studios to three-bedroom residences. Residences will have floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies. The building will also feature a pool with event lawn and grilling stations, on-site co-working spaces, a fitness center and a residential lounge, as well as 16,000 square feet of street-level retail space. With construction at The Mitchell expected to be complete mid-next year, first move-ins at the apartment building are slated for summer 2025. </p>
