Plans for Former CNN HQ Revealed

Known as the CNN Center in downtown Atlanta for more than 30 years, the 1.2 million-square-foot landmark is undergoing a transformation as its owner-operator CP Group, unveils the repositioned property for the first time.

The Center is currently working with architecture and interior design firm TVS, general contractor Holder Construction, and Core Twelve for the branding of the redevelopment.

The mixed-use development, directly connected to the State Farm Arena and in close proximity to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, is planned to become a hub of retail, dining, content creation, and entertainment. CP Group has also already secured a well-known restaurant tenant for nearly 10,000 square feet of space.

CP Group has said it wants to triple the amount of retail space at The Center, bringing in local and national food and beverage operators. It currently has about 45,000 square feet. CP Group believes the retail will help spark leasing for the 30 floors of offices.
