Legacy Ventures Buys 100-Year-Old Resort
Legacy Ventures, an Atlanta hospitality investment, development and management company, has an agreement to purchase the 100-year-old Dillard House. The 100-acre property is located on Highway 441 in Rabun County, Georgia.
The resort includes 92 guest rooms, a Southern restaurant, 11,000 square feet of meeting space, an equestrian center, hiking trails and a trout pond. It features mountain views and frontage on the Little Tennessee River.
Legacy Ventures will spend $20 million to refurbish the guest rooms, restaurant and conference space. The company will also upgrade the pool and tennis court and add a spa.
The plan is to introduce more activities, including fly fishing, pickleball, archery, disc golf and bocce ball. Ceremonial structures will also be built for weddings and events.
